Thanks to the orography of Lake Ledro, it is an ideal place for team and match racing. There is a breeze from east to west, and vice-versa, from 10.30 to 16.30, which renders the lake a privileged place for sailing and races.

Thanks to Lake Ledro’s Sailing Association (Associazione Vela Lago di Ledro), it is possible to learn how to sail and to experience the thrill of riding the waves.

Lake Ledro also plays an important role in the Italian sailing calendar: the first race was organized in 1927 and, more recently, the lake has being hosting important events such as the Trentino Match race, the Italian Snipe Master Championship and the European 420 Team Racing Championship.

Recently, the new headquarters were inaugurated in Pieve, Ledro, which is harmoniously situated in a corner of the lake. The new headquarters are complete with piers for anchorage, a slipway, a crane cab and all the necessary services needed for sailing.
